| SEDEKI was started by the late Don Wieden in 1960 in England. Sedeki Salukis were well established when Frank Farrar joined in 1970. Don and Frank came to the states in 1977 but returned to the UK in 1993. After 11 successful years they returned to American in 2004. Sadly Don died in December of 2004 and Mark Gould joined Sedeki in 2005. |
| Over the years there have been many Saluki champions, here in the US. the UK and all over the world. Sedeki appears in many pedigrees world-wide. Fifteen years ago Cavaliers became a part of Sedeki and Mark brought with him a Doberman Pinscher, three Toys Manchester Terriers, and a Pointer, which became a champion very quickly. |
| Frank is an AKC judge and also approved in the UK. He judged Saluki Bitches in Finland at the Finnish Sighthound Show in June 2008. He will return to the UK in July of 2009 to judge Salukis at the Windsor Championship Show. 2010 will be 40 years "in dogs" for Frank. |
| Mark is a second generation dog person and finished his first champion at 16. This was an Irish Wolfhound but Dobermans were to become his first love. He has shown owner/bred dogs to their championship in several breeds and also was a professional handler for ten years. |
| One aspect of his dog career that he is especially proud is that one of this Doberman males produced several puppies that became seeing eye dogs as they had such wonderful temperaments. Since Mark joined Sedeki he has come to love the Cavaliers and Salukis. As breeders of longevity they both feel that the most important attributes a puppy/dog can have is good health and good temperament. After all puppies will be part of a family. They both enjoy talking "dog" and answering questions about their animals. |
